every year visiting friends and relatives. I know Argentine food very well because I grew up and lived in Argentina for 20+ years, and I spend at least 1 month in Argentina. I have been going to this restaurant for about 10 years and have tried most items on the menu. And I'll keep going back for more supplies and a "cafecito cortado with a medialuna." More In conclusion, it's a good place for a bite but maybe not for a fancy meal out. But their ensalada rusa (russian salad: diced potatoes & carrots with peas mixed with some mayonnaise) - which is one of Argentina's standard potato salads - is really good and goes well with most everything. Their french fries are not home made (maybe frozen?) and their salads are not put together but placed on the plate for you to mix which is us they almost always have hard tomatoes. Their beef milanesa was good but there is always the chance of it being a little tough, and their tortilla (potato omelette) is bleh. I've also had their milanesa de pollo a la napolitana (with ham, tomato sauce and cheese on top) and it was delicious. From the menu I've tried their parilla which is ok, not great but pretty tasty, and their two "small sides" are really regular size and perfect for 2 people.

I had one and it was good, and any of these many options are great for takeout. They have a cake fridge where dulce de leche cakes abound, a freezer for argentine pasta and empanada dough supplies, and a chilled display for other sweet and savory choices which you can pick for your cafe break if you like: alfajores, small cake pastries, churros (straight, not curly), empanadas of various fillings and also "tartas" which are the Argentine version of british style cold pies or pasties, filled with a variety of veggies and some with ham. I like having their coffee with a "tostado" that are thin dough sandwiches, toasted (usually ham and/or cheese), or some of their delicious (but smallish) french style pastries called "facturas".you get to choose from their fresh display.

The restaurant is family friendly and nicely put together clean bathrooms tv sets for any soccer games. once you step inside you just have to stop for a bite. I go to El Patio often as I stock up on Argentine products from their small and handy grocery corner (Sidra, Express and Traviata crackers, Opera cookies, Vacalin and San Ignacio dulce de leche, and the indispensable Fargo and La Saltena empanada dough disks!!!).
